Ni Hao and Welcome Anna Wang to Headlight

The Headlight team is delighted to welcome onboard our newest team member Anna Wang.

Anna joined the Headlight team in late March, to lead the new migrant mental wellbeing education programme. She brings with her years of experience supporting community wellbeing and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by migrants moving to New Zealand.

Originally from China, Anna has lived both in the United Kingdom and Singapore for several years, before migrating to New Zealand with her family in 2020.

As an active advocate for local philanthropy, Anna plays a key role in helping local Chinese community members to connect, build relationships and engage in local community activities. Anna also regularly rallies Chinese community members to care for and support those in need locally, including new migrants who are experiencing challenges settling into their new home.

With her extensive experience in grass roots community work, Anna will bring valuable skills and support to Headlight and its work to support the mental well-being of local people through delivering tailored mental health education programmes.

“I'm excited about the opportunity to join the migrant mental wellbeing education program here at Headlight. With a passion for community support ingrained in my journey from China to New Zealand, I'm eager to weave connections, foster understanding, and empower our communities on their paths to resilience and mental wellness. Together, let's create new paths of support and care together for our Asian communities,” said Anna.
