GoodYarn Workshop for Cromwell NGO Volunteers and Staff

  • St Johns Cromwell Cromwell New Zealand (map)

Come and join others from your local community at this free workshop, specifically designed for volunteers and staff of NGOs or non-profits in Cromwell, to help you to talk to people within our community about mental health.

The GoodYarn workshop will help you to learn more about mental health and mental wellbeing, learn how you can better support the people within our community who are in mental distress and where to signpost them for support. Plus you'll pick up valuable tips and information to help support your own mental health and wellbeing too.

The workshop is led by peer facilitators, local people from Queenstown with lived experience of mental health challenges. They will provide practical tools and advice to help those working or volunteering in the NGO sector to support their wellbeing and that of their friends, family and community.

Light snacks and refreshments provided. This workshop requires you to RSVP.

This workshop has been made possible thanks to funding from the Te Hau Toka Southern Lakes Wellbeing Group.

Words From Our Community - GoodYarn Testimonial

It’s never been more important to focus on our mental wellbeing and check in on those around us who might be doing it tough. The GoodYarn workshop gave me simple tools to talk about mental health, to start those often daunting conversations that can really make all the difference.
